Chris Baillie at the-ear.net rediscovers the joys of vinyl by listening to the Takumi 1.1. He says: “I felt it offered insight into the magic vinyl is capable of, which you’d be unlikely to find in more budget offerings. It offers great value for money and probably represents the entry point if you want to build a serious vinyl-based hi-fi system when buying new. For certain, despite my far more expensive digital front end, I am really enjoying using and listening to the Takumi 1.1 and am in no hurry to move up to something better – thoroughly recommended.”
