Vinyl afficionado Jason Kennedy at the-ear.net has emerged deeply impressed from his experience with Skyanalog’s Reference MC cartridge, especially through the Grimm PW1. He was “immediately struck by its vivid and open sound”, and “oodles of detail” from the “extended and very clean high frequencies that it finds in an awful lot of vinyl grooves.” The Ref MC “delivered some of the best results I have heard from vinyl in quite some time”, it’s “an extremely revealing, even handed and capable cartridge with bells on…from here it looks like a genuine bargain.”
